This review is dedicated to the memory of Kazuo 'Kazuki' Takahashi, who died a hero. This month, he would have been 62 years old, and there's no better way I can think of to pay tribute to him than to talk about the last thing he fully wrote for his most successful creation. May his memory live on forever.

I know it's...WAY later than the start of 2022, but now that I know that one movie won't be on the list for certain, it's time to go back to a year that didn't have a lot of great animated movies to work with, but the ones that I found still stood out.
