Scooby-Doo Movies Collaboration: Alien Invaders

Originally aired October 2, 2011. This was another entry for a collab that was never finished--but the sad part is, in this case, I started the collab to begin with. A few people contributed, but it never really took off. Oh well, at least I got to look at an underrated Scooby-Doo movie!

Cartoon Hero Special-LotR Animated Part 3: Return of the King (1980)

Originally aired September 26, 2011. However, the fact that Arthur was rebooted out of the Hero's universe leaves a few questions--what became of Razor? Or the two rings? Do they still exist? I honestly don't know at the moment--maybe we'll explore that idea one of these days.

LotR Animated Part 3-Return of the King from Eli Stone on Vimeo.

Cartoon Hero Special-LotR Animated Part 2: Ralph Bakshi's Lord of the Rings

Originally aired September 18, 2011. If you'll notice, Arthur Knowledge of the Quest for Geekdom features prominently in this storyline--but maybe not as you know him. And there's a reason for that--see, Arthur eventually had a storyline in The Quest for Geekdom where aliens attacked the earth before he was ready to defend it, and the earth would have been destroyed were it not for a universal reboot. However, that led to the Hero and Arthur never meeting, and Arthur becoming less of a Lantern and more of a paladin character.

The Art of Gaming: Okami

Originally uploaded May 17, 2011. It was in this review that I learned from experience just how hard it is to shoot a fight scene when you're playing both characters. Still, all things considered, and with Hans' help, I think I did pretty well with it. Except for the Evil Containment Wave at the end, that turned out to be unintentionally hilarious.

Special: Elseworlds Month Part 4 (Atop The Fourth Wall)

Originally uploaded April 30, 2011. And behold, the reason this month was done to begin with! Yes, as I say out of character at the end of this video, I wanted to find some creative way of putting out the Hero's origin without it seeming forced, and this seemed like an ideal opportunity. Plus I've wanted to do an AT4W homage for some time.

Special: Elseworlds Month Part 3 (Familiar Faces)

Originally uploaded April 26, 2011. This was probably the most fun to do, as I've stated that CR is one of my biggest inspirations. The weirdest part is, Go and Rosa had absolutely no fanart when I wrote this, so I had to use an actual manga page instead.

From Cartoons To Crap: The Last Airbender

Originally uploaded March 23rd and 25th, 2011. Well, we're almost halfway there--this was my big 50th episode, and hoo boy, did I choose a big movie to tackle. Of course, I didn't do it alone--for those unaware, at the time, my roommate Hans had his own review series as Gentleman Gloves, which is explained in the recap. This review was partially his idea, but I decided to make it my 50th episode. And despite the unflattering camera angle on me, I think we did it pretty well. Thanks, Hans, and I'm glad I got to celebrate this milestone with you.

The Legend of Zelda Collaboration: The Minish Cap

Originally uploaded March 15, 2011. This requires some explanation. The Cartoon Hero Presents: Soul Eater

Originally posted October 31st, 2010. Now, this review may look a little stretched to you. If you're wondering why, it's because for SOME reason, Hans' laptop finally stopped rendering the video properly and I had to upload it in pieces or not at all. Later, Ozzie gave me a more high-quality (and intact) version, but this version is also stretched a bit. Well, either way, here's my look at an excellent anime for Halloween or anytime!

The Cartoon Hero vs. Casper's Scare School

Originally uploaded October 23, 2010. I've discussed this a few times, but this is the first time I've actually been proud that I managed to get four reviews out in one month, for one reason. At the beginning of October, suddenly, for what seemed like no reason at all, my laptop crapped the bed and wouldn't start up at all. I was trying to get it fixed, but in the meantime the reviews were delayed--this got to the point where I had to borrow my roommate's laptop when he wasn't using it and make the four reviews that I'd had planned in ten days. And I honestly don't think the quality suffered much for it--except for the last one, but I'll get to that later. For now, enjoy Part 1 of this "Halloween Marathon" with Casper's Scare School!

Originally aired April 28, 2010. And the Titanic saga begins--yes, years before Doug did this one, I tackled the OTHER Titanic Animated movie. And let's not even get into the sequel...yet.

Yeah, I know there's an audio glitch about halfway in, but it's only a small one.

Land Before Time Lords: The Stone of Cold Fire Review

Originally posted April 25, 2010. Now, THIS, THIS review is where I think I actually started to get good. I was part of my first collab, I got to meet people I'd be working with in the future, I got to settle a score with a movie that I still say was the undoing of The Land Before Time as a series, and I think Lupa said she liked it...once. xP oh well.

Top 10 Worst Villain Songs In Animation

Originally aired April 15, 2010. This is another episode I feel kind of conflicted about--especially putting "Evilmainya" on the list. It's honestly not a bad song--just had some weird imagery. Ah well, I'll eventually get to F.R.O.7.

Oh, and this episode also features a cameo from ThatGalWithTheBraids. Remember her? She used to make videos a while back? Oh well...

The Cartoon Hero vs. Bio-Broly

Originally aired April 8, 2010. This is also a review that I like, I think I got a few jokes out of this movie. Then again, it is quite easy to make fun of.

The Cartoon Hero Presents: The Brave Little Toaster

Originally posted April 1, 2010. It's not an April Fool's joke, however--it was just uploaded late. I love this movie, and to this day I still don't think this review did it justice. It just pales in comparison to The Obscure's take on it...

The Cartoon Hero vs. High School Musical (?)

Originally posted March 28, 2010. No, you're not seeing things, even though part of me wishes you were. I still don't know why I decided to do this one--something about the "downfall of Disney," or some other lame excuse like that. I just wanted to rip into it, and...I ended up being bored shitless by it instead. Yeah, go me.

The Cartoon Hero vs. Home on the Range

Originally posted March 14, 2010. And right after that, another movie that I wasn't harsh enough on! Yeah, as you can probably tell, I REALLY don't care for this movie. But I think the editing and jokes could have been better in this one. Still, I think I got my point across pretty well.

The Cartoon Hero vs. Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius

Originally posted March 9, 2010. Going back to what I said before about Batfink, this is another case where I felt I had to be "angry" at the movie in order to get more views. I still think Jimmy Neutron is a dumb movie, but it's not dumb in a TERRIBLE kind of way, like I made it seem here. I think I was too harsh, is what I'm saying.

Top 10 Manga Better Than The Anime

Originally posted February 21, 2010. I still agree with this list, mostly, but I wish I could have gotten actual manga footage to back up my point. Back then I still didn't know about working with Microsoft PhotoStory, which is how I did manga reviews in the future. Also, DAMN my manga collection used to be huge...I sold most of it recently due to not being able to afford to keep up with so many long-running series.

The Cartoon Hero vs. Quest For Camelot

Originally aired February 9, 2010. And now, years before the Nostalgia Critic did it, Quest for Camelot!

The Cartoon Hero vs. Willy the Sparrow

Originally posted January 25, 2010. Now, some of these reviews, I feel I was too harsh on those movies. In contrast, this is one I feel I wasn't harsh ENOUGH on. Mostly because I was too bored to be angry at it.

From Cartoons To Crap-Ben 10: Race Against Time

Originally posted January 19, 2010. And lo and behold, the first episode of From Cartoons To Crap! And I just realized how little I actually do this subseries...I'll have to amend that later.

The Cartoon Hero vs. Happily Ever After

Originally uploaded December 1, 2009. I'm not sure how I feel about this one, quite honestly--I still think it's a bad movie, but part of me thinks I was grasping for jokes to make.

Top 10 Animated Superhero Shows

Originally posted September 16, 2009. Contrast the previous review with this one, probably one of my worst in quality. I was trying out a new mike at the time, which worked TERRIBLY, and the list itself wasn't that good either.

The Cartoon Hero vs. Ikki Tousen

Originally posted August 11, 2009. This is one of my few earlier reviews that I still like. Despite the poor audio and video quality, I still feel pretty much the same about this anime. God, it sucks...

Top 10 Forgotten Animated Films

Originally posted July 19, 2009. This is an interesting one...sure, the video quality isn't that good, but some of these films are ones I actually reviewed later, or that I plan to. Make of that what you will.

The Cartoon Hero vs. Fievel Goes West

Originally posted July 4, 2009. This is another review that I don't agree with now--in fact, in this one it seemed like I was grasping at straws to find something to complain about. But at the same time...I still think I got a few good jokes in.

The Cartoon Hero vs. We're Back!

Originally posted June 20, 2009. And lo and behold, speaking of trying to be Doug in my earlier days...actually, no, I did this review long before Doug even announced his. Though to be fair, his review was better.

The Cartoon Hero vs. Yellow Submarine

My second episode, originally posted June 6, 2009. Honestly, I'm not sure I agree with this one anymore. Like with the Batfink review before it, I thought that being more "angry" would get me more attention, because I was blatantly copying reviewers like the AVGN and NC at the beginning.

As opposed to what I do now...shut up. My point is, I don't think this movie is that bad. It certainly has a kickass soundtrack.

The Cartoon Hero vs. Batfink

This is it, guys, back where it all began.  Unfortunately, it was back when I REALLY sucked.  I still suck nowadays, of course, but I suck a lot less.

Just to blow your mind a bit, this review was released on May 21, 2009. I know, hard to believe I've been doing this for over four years now!

Let It Begin...

Let It Begin...

Well, I have to admit, this is something I never thought I would be doing.  I know other reviewers have blogs already, but I'm a member of four different sites at the moment, and that's only counting the ones I actually post the videos to.  Up to now, I figured that I could get by on posting video links on YouTube, Twitter, FaceBook and a few other sites, but I've finally decided to cave in and get my own blog site.

I'll be posting all of my videos here shortly, mostly as the Hero and maybe the side reviews as well, but since that's 100+ episodes worth of content at this point, it just might take a while.  Keep it here for updates!

Oh, and if you have some spare change, you can directly donate to the show here:

Of course I'm not charging you for content, but it does help keep the show going.
