I've come to despise the phrase "as you know" by this point. But it sounds poignant coming from Tress MacNeille's performance. She talks like someone who has experience and endured heartbreak and heartache, but still holds out hope, if only for those she cares for, as shown in the love talk scene in the castle with Minnie.
The only other movie I've seen use "as you know" outside of its lazy old is The Marine 2.
