Time for my first Patreon-requested two-parter, courtesy of The Animated Ambassador. In this review, I examine the various cuts of The Thief and the Cobbler, compare them, and talk about the movie's famously troubled history.
I found an answer to why the King stopped trusting Zig-zag. It's clear that the news that he knew magic was a surprise to the King, thus why he turned on him.
ReplyDeleteWhen the Thief in the Recobbled cut flies around with the leaves, it's not "1950's newsreel" music, it's because that's a song that usually has lyrics that go "Off we go, into the wild blue wonder". It's a simple musical reference to flying.
