ReplyDeleteAutobots being mainly ground based is a thing since the first series. The Key to Vector Sigma two-parter has both sides create a team based on the other's theme. Stunticons and Aerialbots respectively. The battle cries in Transformers Animated are "Autobots, transform and roll out!" and "Decepticons, transform and rise up!"

Indeed. This series is similar to the 2001 Transformers Anime Robots in Disguise. There too all the Autobots were ground vehicles only. It also was the first series to have something similar to Rachet's ground Bridge. I've been with this franchise from the beginning, and there's a lot to go over.
