State of the Episodes 7/20/15

So, if you haven't heard, Blip is officially shutting down on August 20th. As annoying as it was when I got kicked off of Blip, I think it's a bit of a shame. When Blip was good, it was a site I could rely on to post my videos without fear of them being taken down--but now that's going away for good. I've applied to join Maker, but with no approval in sight, I've also applied for Screenwave Media. Hey, it might work. Also, I keep getting people saying they have trouble seeing my old videos. Psst--guys! They're all right here!

Until something else happens, though, my reviews will continue to be posted on Dailymotion and Zippcast, as they have been for a while now.

That being said, there's also the matter of what's to come next. I've got a bit of an Ace Attorney marathon planned--after Investigations, there's going to be four more side videos for the retrospective, all released before September and Season 7 of the Cartoon Hero. All of them except Investigations, however, have already been written. So if you need a reminder, the videos that're coming up in order are:

Ace Attorney Retrospective: Investigations
AAR: Ace Attorney Musicals
AAR: Devil's Attorney
AAR: Turnabout Storm
AAR: Ace Attorney Movie

It sounds like a tall order, but all of them have been written except for Investigations, which I'm still in the process of watching through again. It will take the longest, but I plan on filming the side videos first just so they'll be ready to edit once the Investigations video has been released.

  1. Hero, I wouldn't join Maker if I were you.
    Why?
Because of section 18 of their terms of service.
"18. You grant the following license with respect to any and all Content you post or submit to this Site: you hereby expressly grant to Maker a royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive, irrevocable right and license to use, reproduce, adapt, modify, publish, edit, translate, perform, transmit, sell, exploit, sublicense or otherwise distribute and display the Content and any ideas, concepts, know-how or techniques contained therein for any reason and in any manner it chooses, alone or as a part of other works, in any form, medium or technology now known or later developed, without restriction and without compensation of any kind to you, and you waive all moral rights in all such Content. For informational purposes, we note that the uses to which we may put the information or Content you provide include, but are not limited to, reproduction and use in any and all media whether now known or hereafter devised; publication of the Content or a derivative thereof for promotional, marketing and advertising purposes, and use in the development and manufacture of products."
Translation: If you upload content to Maker, you give them EVERYTHING. Now and forever, they literally own it.

  2. For me it's not so much finding your old videos, it's that they barely load when I want them to. Also, your Ikki Tousen video isn't working anymore just so you know.
