The Tom & Jerry Show didn't have them solving mysteries. Maybe you're thinking of The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries? The competition between Tom and Jerry was a bit friendlier and there were stories where they got along but no mysteries I remember. You also didn't mention Filmation did their own "Tom & Jerry Comedy Show" that also had Droopy segments. I'm not a huge T&J fan, but I did grow up with those shows. :)
Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is a mess, but it has some bright spots. That film's Tunnel of Terror is a hoot and a half.
The worst movie so far is Tom And Jerry: Back To Oz. It pales in comparison, even to Tom And Jerry And The Wizard Of Oz. Let alone the original Wizard of Oz and Return to Oz. Whereas the other two Tom And Jerry movies had some entertainment, Back To Oz is dull and very slow.
I actually like Back to Oz as it didn’t blatantly tried to copy and paste the original source material and have several differences between the book and film while staying true to the original book. Tuffy was barely in the film. The first on, on the other hand, was nothing poor than a LOUSY REPEAT of the original 1939 classic film and Tuffy just ruined the first film.
Is it rated R?
