The Cartoon Hero begins his month-long retrospective on the Star Wars cartoons with probably the most odd of the bunch: Nelvana's Ewoks and Droids! How do they fare after all these years? Let's find out!

(Yes, I know this episode was late--I was out of town and couldn't work on it. Also, I apologize for how short the Droids portion of this video is, I just didn't have that much to say about it.)

  1. Ironically it was the expanded universe is where they explain why they chose the Ewoks' planet for the Death Star. Also I grew up on the Audio Dramas for the Star Wars Books and Comics. In fact Threepio's actor was in all three of the Drama's for the original trilogy.

  2. Actually, two other story arcs from Droids (not The Great Heap) were released on DVD as a double-sided disk. I own that. I don't mind that R2 & 3PO were just the lead-in to adventures set in the Star Wars universe. They do help out and I enjoyed the stories they lead us into. I've seen other anthologies that have a main character or two whose role is simply the doorway to the story so I don't mind it as much.

  3. I'm not a Star Wars fan. It's just not my thing. But good review regardless!

By the way, I found your Twitter account and saw your Akatsuki no Yona comments about the whole "crushing on a cousin" thing. Don't worry! I assure you, it doesn't last long, I promise, and she eventually stops crushing on him! It's a really good series once you get past episode 5! Trust me, I've seen it! And it's in the manga, too!
