Originally aired April 22, 2012. Time to go back to Disney for a look at one of their few box-office bombs!

  1. Wasn't there an Alien Gurren Lagann in this movie?

  2. I'm sorry I didn't see your review of the movie when it was filmed, I was still in middle school when you made it. I saw "Treasure Planet" out of curiosity when it was on Netflix at my school, I saw a couple of scenes when it was on the website before I asked my dad if store with movies, video games, and CDs had the movie on DVD, and only saw a preview of it for the "Monsters Inc" VHS tape I still have. I still like the movie and thought of actors who could play the original characters if there was ever a remake released sometime in the next few years or so.

There's a rumor of a remake to "Treasure Planet", but I'm mostly scared to see that happen because of the how remakes I didn't see such as "Aladdin", "Dumbo", and "The Lion King" were viewed by people who loved the original movies. There might be one for "Atlantis The Lost Empire", but I don't know the release date of it. The same goes for "The Rescuers", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," and others including "Tarzan," "Peter Pan", "Lilo and Stitch", "The Little Mermaid", "The Sword and The Stone", "The Black Cauldron", and "Snow White & The Seven". If by any chance you don't hear from me or don't see me subscribed to your channel, keep in mind that I have to take a class starting tomorrow from my community college. Since a couple of videos I have seen are talking about their fan made cast for a remake of "Treasure Planet", here's mine:

    1. Joseph David Keery as Jim Hawkins

    2. Sarah Wayne Callies as Sarah Hawkins

    3. James Callis as Doctor Delbert Doppler

    4. Bonnie Wright as Captain Amelia

    5. Michael Clark Duncan as Mr. Arrow

    6. Sean Pertwee as Billy Bones

    7. Michael Caine or John Noble as John Silver

    8. Robin Cord as BEN

    9. Anthony Head as Scroop

    10. Jamie Boomer or Joshua Jackson as Adult Jim in an adaptation of "Battle at Procyon"

    11. Sam Worthington as Leland Hawkins/Jim’s dad
I'm sorry that this was a long comment, but I just want to let you know that I do like the concept of a "Treasure Planet remake and I never had the chance to see the movie because I was 2 when it was released on November 27th, 2002. I'll end this with a question because I'm just curious about something I'll probably never have the answer to and I’d like to let you know of something about:

From your experience with low self-esteem, do you relate to Jim more than Shinji from "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and the movie "End of Evangelion"?

    1. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news mate, but Michael Clarke Duncan passed away in 2012.

    2. Looking at Disney's Treasure Planet again makes think that Duncan would have been perfect as Silver.

    3. Treasure Planet has plenty of flaws, but the character writing is over all solid. Ben is a pain to deal with, but Silver is compelling and complex villain that undergoes a tangible and believable redemption. Kudos on that.
