Update: No More ROTC? And Video Delays

Hey guys. Now, it's been a while since the Tiger & Bunny review, and you're probably wondering why there hasn't been a new video. Some of you have also brought up that Rise Of The Critics seems to have been shut down, and as such all of my old embeds are gone. But have no fear--I have explanations for both.

First of all, the lack of new videos can be attributed to two things. I've come down with a case of bronchitis, which stubbornly refuses to go away even with all the medicine I've been taking. It's no picnic, and my voice is in no shape to record, though I have gotten better since it started. And second, I'm moving. Yeah, I brought this up on Twitter, but my mom lost her job a month or so ago, and she's only recently gotten a new one--but it's in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. I'll be moving there soon, so in the meantime I've done my best to grab the video footage I'll need for the reviews I have planned, but haven't been able to record them just yet. Rest assured that when I do, you'll be the first to know.

And yeah, apparently Rise Of The Critics' domain has expired. I don't know why, I don't run the site, it was just a place I could post my stuff at. But don't worry-you can still catch all of my backlog at

Zippcast has treated me well so far, though there is the matter of that grey bit at the beginning of videos. From what I can tell, the site has an issue with FLV files, and the creator assured me that he's working on fixing that. But I think that it's only a mild annoyance. Regardless, I still have all my old reviews, so whenever I need to upload them to a new site, it can be done. (With the exceptions of the King and I and Sengoku Basara reviews--apparently I wasn't able to grab the full files from Blip before it went down. Sorry about that.)

And that's the current state of my show. Hopefully, this'll clear up some of your confusion.

Hey guys--well, due to some recent events, I've fallen a bit behind as far as money goes. It's nothing dire--my computer needs some new software so I can keep editing, I've had a few issues with getting some review material, I'd like to get some better costumes and my previous try ended up losing me money for nothing--the usual stuff. Now, I realize that there are a lot more causes that are more worth donating to than mine, but if you have some money left over, instead of starting a Patreon, I think I'll just add a button so you can donate me money instead.

Now, don't think this is a "donate or I won't make any new content" situation, this is just me asking you to help me get out new content faster, and so that I'll actually have the funds to keep improving. And this is coming from a guy who actually has a 9-5 job now, so it's not like I'm not working to get money. I wouldn't ask you to help if I didn't need help. Blipocalypse Now

Hey guys. If you're wondering where the next video is, well, a few days ago I received an email from Blip saying that soon, my show's going to be taken off the site. Apparently I wasn't making them enough money.

What does this mean? Well, hopefully nothing--I'm still going to upload new reviews, just to YouTube. Or if YouTube's copyright bullshit kicks in, I'll also be uploading my backlog to a site called Zippcast, which is sort of like an old build of YouTube minus the copyright bullshit.

What I'm saying is, I'm not going to stop my show because Blip told me I wasn't good enough. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to upload a bunch of old videos, and change the player URLs in every blog post. Wish me luck!

My second episode, originally posted June 6, 2009. Honestly, I'm not sure I agree with this one anymore. Like with the Batfink review before it, I thought that being more "angry" would get me more attention, because I was blatantly copying reviewers like the AVGN and NC at the beginning.

As opposed to what I do now...shut up. My point is, I don't think this movie is that bad. It certainly has a kickass soundtrack.

Let It Begin...

Well, I have to admit, this is something I never thought I would be doing.  I know other reviewers have blogs already, but I'm a member of four different sites at the moment, and that's only counting the ones I actually post the videos to.  Up to now, I figured that I could get by on posting video links on YouTube, Twitter, FaceBook and a few other sites, but I've finally decided to cave in and get my own blog site.



I'll be posting all of my videos here shortly, mostly as the Hero and maybe the side reviews as well, but since that's 100+ episodes worth of content at this point, it just might take a while.  Keep it here for updates!
