From Cartoons to Crap: Scooby-Doo

Originally posted October 25, 2010. Part of me still likes this review, and it was a movie I wanted to get to for a while...but that video quality is TERRIBLE! It literally hurts my eyes to look at it...well, hopefully you can still enjoy yourself.

  1. The guy that was talking to Velma should have been Beau from Zombie Island as a nice touch of continuity. Also, that scene with Scrappy would be better as a misdirect. Have him show up later and help out. Instead of Scrappy, the main villain should have been someone else; preferably a past villain from one of the cartoons. The one that pops in my head is Billy Bob Scroggins, and this whole plot was for the purpose of killing Shaggy. And have Shaggy mention some of his past adventures early on the film; specifically when he and Scooby are having lunch before they get the invite to Spooky Island. Plus, Shaggy was the one keeping the gang together in this film, so his removal of the Daemon Ritus would be even more poinant. You could even have him knock Billy Bob out. Or Scrappy, just for fun. Plus it's more believable for a psychotic redneck to go through this mad plot than an upset puppy. And if you do go down the route of Scrappy's being too big, then you can have him say that moment was a revelation for him. He bettered himself in the meantime, and even apologises.

    1. It was part of one of my video accounts that got suspended, but I wasn't sure anyone would want to watch that review at this point. Regardless, it's fixed now.
