Top 10 Manga Better Than The Anime

Originally posted February 21, 2010. I still agree with this list, mostly, but I wish I could have gotten actual manga footage to back up my point. Back then I still didn't know about working with Microsoft PhotoStory, which is how I did manga reviews in the future. Also, DAMN my manga collection used to be huge...I sold most of it recently due to not being able to afford to keep up with so many long-running series.

  2. Personally I disagree with your Number 10 Pick. I found Toei did a better job than the parts of the Manga it adapted. Especially in terms of Seto Kaiba. In the Manga he began as one of the One-Shot Villains, who lost to Dark Yugi, and just happened to come back later with a plan. Whereas in the Toei Anime, he draws with Dark Yugi instead and carries out plans to test Yugi, before finally facing off against him again. In the Manga there's a large dichotomy when it comes to his character and development; suddenly going from a despicable and evil human being to a "complex" rival. Not helped by Dark Yugi putting him in a coma. While in the Studio Gallop Anime, he actually is complex, and doesn't sit out in a comatose state for a while.
