Originally uploaded April 15, 2011. This was originally meant to take up the four weeks of April, as a sort of month-long April Fools' special. And yes, there is a reason that I'm copying the style of other reviewers here--just wait until the end to see it.

I knew I recognised Jess' Dad! He's played by Robert Patrick - AKA, the T-1000.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...regarding the decision to change the death from being struck by lightning to drowning in a river combined with head trauma...wouldn't the latter be more plausible and realistic? Now, to be fair, I don't know how common death by lightning strikes are, so for all I know, I might sound like an idiot, but I think having Leslie die by drowning in a river and hitting her head doesn't come off as being more dramatic as much as it is being more realistic, since lightning strikes, while they are deadly, don't exactly happen too often. Also to be fair, I'm not sure what the authoress's thought process was in changing the death of her son's friend, so I'm just making a hypothesis here. But which seems to be the most realistic and likely to happen: being struck by lightning or slipping on something, falling into a river, and getting fatal head trauma?
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's more realistic, but it's not actually what happened.
DeleteAlso, you actually got it wrong: Leslie isn't played by Annette O'Toole. She plays the teacher. Leslie's actress was someone named Julie Beaulieu.
ReplyDeleteARTHUR, YOU FOOOOOOOOLLL!!!
